Preston in top ten for low burglary rates

Preston has been officially recognised as the UK city with the seventh lowest burglary rate according to a recent survey. The reduction in crime is largely thanks to a series of measures put in place by the Community Safety Partnership which acts as a Thematic Working Group (TWG) for the Preston Strategic Partnership.

PSP Working Groups Restructure

A review of the structure of the PSP has taken place to ensure the partnership's Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) and Task Groups are responding to changes in the Local Area Agreements (LAA's) and other important Government agendas including; Shared Futures, Every Child Matters, Older Peoples agenda and the Wellbeing agenda.

Community Safety Campaign Success

The Preston Strategic Partnership’s Community Safety Thematic Working Group (TWG) has led a week long campaign to tackle antisocial behaviour, tidy up grot spots and improve community safety in the inner city Avenham area of Preston.
